Ripple joins project Hyperledger

The company Ripple joined the Hyperledger project under Linux Foundation. Representatives Hyperledger announced Wednesday that Ripple was among the member companies of the group, which was founded in the end of 2015 and which today includes more than 200 organizations.

Also joined the project consortium CULedger supported a group of credit unions of the United States, which last year launched
business services on the basis of the blockchain.

«Through our partnership with Hyperledger developers will be able to access Interledger Protocol (ILP) in Java for corporate use,» — said in his statement, the CTO of Ripple’s Stefan Thomas (Stefan Thomas).

ILP previously worked only on JavaScript. Last year Ripple began to cooperate with Japanese company NTT Data for updating the communication Protocol using the Java programming language. Then, the two companies presented an updated Java for the Hyperledger Protocol called Hyperledger Quilt.

«The Hyperledger project Quilt associates blackany Hyperledger with other payment systems, supporting the ILP, such as the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, Bitcoin (Lightning), Litecoin, and Mojaloop RippleNet, helping us realize our vision of the Internet where the money moves with the same speed as information,» explained Thomas.

2018 will be a busy year for the consortium Hyperledger. He plans to bring three blockchain-platform open-source to version 1.0 or up to production status, and also intends to launch a corporate blockchain is a tool that aims to accelerate the development of blockchain-based applications.
