The Rospatent in cooperation with the community ACTUM and the blockchain platform APLA will hold a hackathon to create smart patent office. Over a hundred participants from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Kazan and Rostov-on-don will compete for the prize of 200 thousand rubles and employment opportunities in Rospatent.
From 13 to 15 April in Moscow for developers will be a 48-hour marathon programming. During this time, participants should develop a project system of storage of materials of preliminary applications for inventions, designed to accelerate and improve the quality of examination based on blockchain technologies.
Among the organizers of the hackathon Fishermen Fund, Gazprom Neft and IPChain. The projects will be evaluated by the experts of the Federal Institute of industrial property representatives of «Gazprom Neft», «Fishermen’s Fund» and Apla. The total prize Fund of the event is 1.5 million rubles.
In the framework of the international conference «Digital transformation: Intellectual property and blockchain-technologies» which will take place 16 – 17th of April in Moscow will host the award ceremony of the winners of the hackathon.
«I think the only prize money we do not limit ourselves to, and with pleasure will invite the winners to work at the Federal Institute of industrial property», – said the Director General of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev.
In addition, the conference will be a youth track on which startups will present their projects to investors and experts. The topics of projects for the pitch session will be associated with intellectual property and be built around digital industries: blockchain, big and open data, artificial intelligence etc.
General Director of the platform «Aktum» Oleg Mansurov noted the importance of attracting young people to work on projects using modern technologies. According to him, the potential of young professionals can become the driver of development of the digital economy.
