The district attorney of Los Angeles have charged two women with robbery after they stole about 90 000 dollars in a bogus sale of bitcoins.
The Prosecutor stated
on Friday that «the bandits who sold bitcoin at a discount» was distributed advertising the sale of bitcoins on the Internet but are not passed on coins after the payment. Two organizers of the scheme – precious Fitzgerald (Precious Fitzgerald) and Laville Hall (Hall Lawillie) may be sentenced to several years in prison on charges of robbery in the second degree.

Fitzgerald was additionally charged with three counts of ill-treatment of children — presumably the baby was present during some of the robberies. In addition, she also was indicted on two counts of theft in especially large size.
«In one case, Fitzgerald is accused of obtaining a money transfer from the victim after which she transferred to the buyer bitcoin promised for the money,» says the district attorney’s office. «In other cases she personally met with victims and by force took away the cash that they brought to buy bitcoins».
