State Duma Deputy Vasily Vlasov proposed to transfer the election of the President, governors and deputies of the lower house of Parliament on an electronic platform on the basis of the blockchain. The initiative he outlined in writing and sent to the CEC head, Ella Pamfilova.
For electronic elections of the Supreme bodies of state power, the MP proposed to create a special functionality of the portal and combine it with SAS «Vybory».
In his opinion, this will increase the number of voters, reduce the burden on the state budget, will eliminate the possibility of fraud, and the blockchain will prevent the possibility of outside intervention in the electoral process.
«I ask you to consider the implementation process of voting in elections of the Supreme bodies of state power of the Russian Federation in electronic form», – the statement says.
Vlasov underlined that the first remote elections can be organized in the form of a pilot project in one region, for example in Moscow, and if successful, apply to elections of a higher level and in other regions of the country.
