«Morsviazsputnik» and QIWI Blockchain Technologies (OOO «KIWI Blockchain Technology» — a subsidiary of QIWI Group) signed an agreement on cooperation in which frameworks it is planned to develop integration of logistics blockchain-a platform for the promotion and control of cargo transportation by water transport.
Under the agreement, QIWI Blockchain Technologies in the interests of FSUE «Morsviazsputnik» is planning to perform several phases of work, including a study of business infrastructure and business processes of the Enterprise, as well as the transportation and logistics industry as a whole.
Alexey Soloviev, General Director of QIWI Blockchain Technologies, said: «the Main principle of blockchain technology — transparency displays companies that use it to a new level of efficiency. The decentralized architecture of the blockchain will provide an opportunity to reduce the cost of the system compared with the centralized by distributing the load on all participants, as there is no need to keep a backup of data because the network already has a copy of the data in the number of participants. Together with FSUE «Morsviazsputnik» we expect to unlock the potential of the blockchain in the field of cargo transportation by water transport».
The General Director «Morsviazsputnik» Andrey Kuropyatnikov, said: «the Potential of blockchain technology, its protected from unauthorized access architecture and complete transparency make it an ideal tool for management in the field of transport. Besides addressing industry specific issues, the blockchain will bring many benefits. The platform will not only help to eliminate the middlemen and significantly reduce the volume of the working stream, but also reliably protect data, reduce the number of errors. In General, the blockchain will speed up the process of transactions for freight between cargo owners and charterers, to make it safer and cheaper, ensure prompt receipt of reliable information, their monitoring and control to reduce the cost of forming the system of processing and protection of information».
