According to a member of the Board of Directors of the Bundesbank (German Central Bank), Karl Ludwig Thiele, the issue of digital currencies by Central banks of the Eurozone and their equating Vietnam in the near future excluded.
«Introduction the Central Bank of the circulation of digital currency, similar to traditional currencies, is not on the agenda,» said Thiele.
In his opinion, the technology of the blockchain is expensive and unsuitable for payments.
«Our currency, the Euro, mainly based on trust. Trust is easy to play but difficult to win,» stated Thiele.
Today, due to the lack of tools for the control and taxation of cryptocurrencies, most Central banks of developed countries oppose their treatment on a par with Fiat currencies.
