WeMakePrice, better known as Wemepu, one of the largest online trading platform in South Korea, adds the possibility of payment by 12 crypto currencies, including bitcoin, litecoin and broadcast, in collaboration with the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb. Once integration is complete, users WeMakePrice will be able to purchase goods and services for the digital currency.
Despite the fact that Bithumb conducts the payment process, users of the platform do not need to register on the stock exchange to use cryptocurrencies for WeMakePrice.
In an interview with South Korean newspaper the HanKyoReh, a representative WeMakePrice said that the company has decided to add the possibility to pay with cryptocurrencies as part of a broader initiative to facilitate payments for buyers. Another publication notes that the introduction of cryptocurrency on WeMakePrice — this is the first case in the country, when the major trading platform offers such a solution.
Earlier this week it was reported that a similar decision was taken and a large retail chain of home appliances and electronics Yamada Denki in Japan, which has begun testing accepting payments in bitcoin in its two stores in Tokyo, with the intention to add this option to all points of the network in case of successful testing. Last year the payment in crypto-currencies sold to Japanese electronics chain BicCamera.
