New technologies go beyond the legal field, from which the country suffers great financial losses. Therefore, the creation of the concept of legal regulation of the blockchain has become one of the priorities of the government. Center for digital economy, MGIMO-University and the competence Center of the blockchain VEB signed an agreement of intent for cooperation.
Experts plan to develop the concept of a single legal practice to study the issues of verification of smart contracts. They also intend to consolidate in the legal field all the operations for saving data in the blockchain.
Head of the working group of the State Duma of the Russian Federation estimated the risk of turnover cryptocurrency Elina Sidorenko:
«This is very important because now the urgent question of the protection of personal data in the field of blockchain. Also unresolved is the issue of coherence and harmonisation of jurisdiction from the point of view of the cryptocurrency. All these questions we will actively work on the site of two centers.»
Also experts will develop the concept of development in the country of investing. This new direction for Russia is able to give a strong impetus to the development cryptoeconomy, experts believe. Along with this, they plan to launch several research projects to evaluate the consequences of the introduction and circulation of the digital economy.
A cooperation agreement will soon be signed by the rector of the University and the President of the Bank. After that round table the experts will discuss problems of legal regulation in the field of blockchain. It is planned, the panelists will take part not only Russian specialists but also representatives of international organizations.
