In the sphere of housing and communal services of St. Petersburg will use the technology of the blockchain, said the Governor Georgy Poltavchenko in the annual report to the city Parliament.
The mayor supported the project «Smart city of Saint-Petersburg», which aims to improve the quality of life of citizens and the sustainable development of economy due to wide use of advanced technologies.
According to him, in the near future the authorities plan to benefit from digital developments to improve housing and communal services.
«Project office «Smart city» is developing a digital platform based on the blockchain, the implementation of which will be deprived of the opportunity to tighten up the meter readings, to cheat with the data sets for billing purposes, and also exclude double receipts, overpayments and delays with transfer of payments of citizens», – he said.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of construction and housing Andrey Chibis told about the work of the Ministry of construction (Ministry of construction), housing and utilities of the Russian Federation on creation of system of control of public resources on the basis of the blockchain.
